ADIS16480 is a iSensor® device. It is a complete inertial system that includes a triaxial gyroscope, a triaxial accelerometer, triaxial magnetometer, pressure sensor, and an extended Kalman filter (EKF) for dynamic orientation sensing. Each inertial sensor in the device combines industry-leading iMEMS® technology with signal conditioning that optimizes dynamic performance. The factory calibration characterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, alignment, and linear acceleration (gyroscope bias). As a result, each sensor has its own dynamic compensation formulas that provide accurate sensor measurements. The sensors are further correlated and processed in the extended Kalman filter, which provides both automatic adaptive filtering, as well as user-programmable tuning. It is widely used in application such as platform stabilization, control, and pointing, navigation, instrumentation, robotic etc.
- Single-supply operation is 3V to 3.6V, 2000g shock survivability
- Static accuracy is 0.1° typ at (TA = 25°C), triaxial, delta angle and delta velocity output
- Gyroscope misalignment is ±0.05° typ at (TA = 25°C), triaxial, digital magnetometer, ±2.5gauss
- Gyroscope in-run bias stability is 6.25°/hr typ at (TA = 25°C), adaptive extended kalman filter
- Gyroscope angular random walk is 0.3°/√hr typ at (TA = 25°C), automatic covariance computation
- Gyroscope nonlinearity is 0.01% of FS typ at (TA = 25°C), programmable reference reorientation
- Accelerometer dynamic range is ±10g min at (TA = 25°C), programmable sensor disturbance levels
- Configurable event-driven controls, factory-calibrated sensitivity, bias, and axial alignment
- SPI-compatible serial interface, programmable operation and control, single-command self-test
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +105°C, package style is 24-lead module with connector interface
